This publication by Taylor & Francis Publishers (UK) intends to give an update of the distribution, occurrences, potential and prospects of geological resources for sustainable development in Africa. The publication will comprise the following chapters:

3) Regional organizations approach to mining and exploitation
4) National and domestic communities in the mining sector

It is intended to publish a scientific book on these topics at Taylor & Francis Publishers, UK. The main objective of this book is to give an update and overview of the recent situation and to highlight the challenges of the extractive sector in sub-Saharan Africa by different national/regional case studies.
