Mining areas are particularly prone to HIV/AIDS.

This panel will discuss how to fight the disease and address the specific challenges of HIV/AIDS in mining communities. Why is the prevalence of infections particularly high in mining communities? What strategies are currently in place to address this problem?

Practice examples of HIV/AIDS working place policies in industrial mining companies and other environments will be discussed, including how these strategies can be adapted to ASM communities.
